What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, also called talk therapy, is a type of therapy that involves talking with a therapist to treat mental health concerns and emotional challenges. Psychotherapy is a process of self-discovery that can be both challenging and rewarding. It is a chance to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential setting. The aim of psychotherapy is to help you understand and change the patterns of thoughts and behavior that are causing you distress and to address the root cause. It can also help you to develop more effective ways of coping with difficulties. Psychotherapy is usually a long-term process that involves meeting with a therapist on a regular basis.
